About The Author

During my first 23 years in the home building industry, I held management roles at a national home builder, including positions in sales, marketing, merchandising, research, and product development. I also served as a regional president, overseeing $100 million in sales.

Then, for 15 years, I provided sales training and marketing expertise to over 100 home builders across the country. During that time, I was featured as a subject matter expert in well-known media, including Builder Magazine, Builder Radio, Realtor, Realty Times, The Real Estate Professional, Texas Builder, Texas Homebuilder, and Professional Builder.

In 2006, I wrote my first book, Building Results—The Ultimate Guide to New Home

Sales. This book achieved that: it offered a fresh, practical approach to the new home sales process. It taught on-site salespeople how to create an environment that psychologically attracts potential buyers, guiding them to a deep understanding of customers’ needs and wants.

To enhance my new home experience, I obtained a Texas Real Estate License in 2009. My focus on new home sales had shifted, and I believed my career in existing home sales was beginning. For the next five years, I worked full-time as a Realtor. I was exposed to all aspects of a Realtor's responsibilities, including lead generation, sales, marketing, administration, contract management, and client relations. I quickly realized that being a Realtor was much more complex and demanding than merely selling homes for a builder.

In 2011 and 2012, I received the Professional Realtor of the Year award for Outstanding Service from the Dallas Builders Association (DBA). During that period, I also served on the Board of Directors, chaired the Ambassadors Committee, and participated in the Professional Development and Curriculum Committee for the Dallas Realtor Association.y 2026

As a member of the DBA Board of Directors, I was asked to assess the feasibility of creating a training program to bridge the knowledge gap between builders and Realtors. I shared this idea with the Dallas MetroTex Realtor Association and received a highly positive response. So, in 2013, I created a six-seminar builder series called Have You Considered New. The class was awarded the “Marketing Program of the Year” by the Texas Realtor Association.

In 2014, I joined HomesUSA.com, where I was responsible for developing new business relationships with builders in Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, and Houston. HomesUSA manages builder MLS listings, provides marketing support, and helps builders identify Realtors who want to sell new homes.

In 2016, I co-founded HomesUSAAlliance.com. The Alliance's goal was to connect builders and Realtors through education and communication.

In 2023, I left HomesUSA.com and began offering sales coaching and mentorship services to real estate agents aiming to work with the new homebuilder community. I also started working on a new book for Realtors about the best ways to build a new home sales business, which is scheduled for publication in February 2026
